Rapeseed demonstration base promotes agricultural tourism integration

In spring, a vast field of cole flowers is blooming in Pushi Town, Luxi County, Xiangxi Prefecture, attracting an endless stream of tourists and driving the development of industries like agritainment and homestay inns. With the development of “flower appreciation economy”, the town’s cole flower demonstration zone has become popular and opened up a new development path of agriculture and tourism. According to a plan, the village has transferred land opposite the flower sea tourism base to plant rapeseed and sorghum. Facilities like stream embankment, dams and green belts have been built around the base to achieve the integration of flower, agriculture and tourism. Last year, the village received more than 500,000 tourists.
